MSTI = TROUBLE

I generally try to stay out of fights unless it comes to my Neighborhood. In the case of NorthWestern Energy I make an exception. They have been working behind the scenes with officials of Federal, state, and our county officials since 2005 to allow a huge 500 kv transmission line run beside our famous Beaverhead River, and probably take away the land of countless ranch owners by eminent domain.

These towers they wish to impose on our county, will destroy the view. Probably destroy our fisheries and the way of life for generations of Montanans who live here. Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer and NorthWestern Energy (NWE) continue in their campaign to convince Montanans of our noble obligation to provide urban Arizona, Nevada and California with green energy, but do Montanans agree this is our burden to bear?

Ultimately shouldn’t Montanans have a say in their own energy future? Like food production and distribution, should we not be localizing our energy production for the benefit of Montanans?

If you would like to help us fight something that might make all NorthWestern customers pay for this scheme, please sign up for the lastest information or donate to www.Keep It Rural.net    Thanks
